Do you want to join CNA classes and become a certified nursing assistant? Well, if you do you will have to complete the CNA course, sit for an exam and pass in it. During the test, apart from writing answers to questions you will also have to demonstrate skills that CNAs are required to have. Therefore, practicing the performance skill is as important as understanding the reading material that the course instructor gives you. During the test, you will be asked by the examiner to perform at least five or six skills. Therefore, you should make it a point to practice all the skills that are taught in the class beforehand and become proficient in them.

So, when you are looking for free CNA training, make sure that you opt for a course that gives the candidates ample opportunity to practice the skills. One of the most common skills that the CNAs need to demonstrate is bathing patients. Though bathing patients is not a tough job, you will have to keep in mind things like dignity and privacy of the patients and communicating better. All these things require practice and a CNA course that does to teach the candidates these practical aspects of the job is not of much use. A good CNA course gives the candidates hands-on experience as far as repositioning, proper ambulation and transfer techniques are concerned. Remember that performing all the skills professionally is not the objective; the objective is to communicate with the patients better and make them feel comfortable.
